Considerations for pelvic dynamics and whole body dynamics in labour will also be reviewed with the aim of giving protocols and approaches to help the woman prepare for birth.

Traumatic birth dynamics will be discussed and the maternal potential for injury reviewed. Approaches to the soft tissues and the osseous structures of the pelvis in particular will be considered, as well as the implications for ongoing pelvic floor, sexual function and organ function.
